A database driven Training system has been developed to fulfill a specific need for a manufacturing plant in Brisbane. Staff in the production line are trained to complete specific tasks when it comes to building their products. These modules are split into training groups, which reflect the teams within the production line.

Staff are encouraged to learn all training modules in their area as well as others to be multi skilled across the production line. The more modules a staff member completes, the higher their level within the company, and their pay increases as they become more valuable to the organisation.

Report of the production teams are available in web or spreadsheet format and highlight staff skill shortages at any time across the factory, which provides an overview of where more training is required with in the company.

The training of non factory staff is recorded in the same system by the Human Resources department. As the system is custom built, additions and changes can be made at anytime as the requirements and company evolve.
